How it is calculated
Leave pay = daily ordinary wage × unused days, where daily ordinary wage = monthly ordinary wage ÷ 209 × 8. At 2,090,000 KRW/month the daily wage is about 80,000 KRW, so five unused days is about 400,000 KRW.
Leave accrued
Under one year, one day per month worked (up to 11). From one year, 15 days, rising by one day every two years from the third year, up to 25. Actual days can vary by company rules (hire-date vs fiscal-year basis).
Ordinary wage
Ordinary wage is base pay plus regularly and uniformly paid fixed allowances. It differs from the average wage used for severance.
