When can I start?
The start age depends on your birth year: age 60 for those born before 1953, rising to 65 for those born 1969 or later. Enter your birth year to see your start age and approximate start year.
Early or deferred
You may claim up to 5 years early (reduced 6% per year, up to 30%) or defer up to 5 years (increased 7.2% per year, up to 36%). Which is better depends on your record — ask NPS.
